It was ugly and unnecessary, but the senate finally confirmed Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.  Only three Dems voted yes in spite of his solid qualifications.  Shades of Bork.  Funny, when Ginsberg was nominated, all but three Reps voted to confirm in spite of her obvious leftist views.  Whatever the method, the end result makes voting against Hillary worth it no matter the other things Trump does or fails to do.  If another court opening happens in the next couple of years, it will get really dirty.

Gorsuch qualified. Dems should have withheld filibuster for when there is a really objectionable candidate. I DO NO THINK MCCONNELS NUCLEAR OPTION IS WISE. Both parties will acquire control and it now only takes 51 per cent

People are calling for the Republican Congress to increase the amount of supreme court judges from 9 to 11, that way Trump can quickly name two more judges.

I haven't heard any serious proposal from people in authority trying to pack the court.  FDR tried it and it didn't fly.  Sounds more like an idea being floated by someone who has no chance of being taken seriously.

Agree, but in the present atmosphere, how else could ANY Trump nominee get an up or down vote?  Schumer even want to have Trump consult with the liberals before submitting a nomination.  Yeah, sure!  Like that's what the Dems did before Ginsberg, Kagan, Sotomeyer, or any other leftist judge.  The difference is that the Reps went along with earlier nominees because it's within the president's constitutional authority.  What Kennedy did to Bork would have been plenty of reason for the Reps to retaliate.  What the Dems are doing is playing to their radical base but damaging the country.  They apparently don't care.

Unbelievably, there are a lot of people in NM who are crying to get rid of the EC. Sad state of education where NM residents, adults even, would have no clue as to the purpose of the EC, or how it keeps their vote relevant.

You said it yourself, NM is a hot bed of libs. Had this past election went the other way you wouldn't have heard a peep out of them.
