Mixon will be a stud, he's young and deserves a second chance.

I agree, but he's not going to be a first round draft choice.  No owner is going to sign off on that.

No sane owner.

I have seen mocks with Green Bay taking him in the 1st round.

Maybe. You have to question his judgement though.

I will say this. Last week Mixon reached a settlement with the victim. During that the 2 met privately without the lawyers to talk about it. The victim is satisfied his apology was sincere and says she felt they both could have reacted differently.

I guess I question the motivation behind the timing of this.

The Packers are a pass first team and by design.  They aren't going to take a RB in the first round, regardless of who is on the board.

He's going to come off the board to the Bengals in the 2nd round.

He's only 20 years old, if she can forgive him the NFL should not hold it against him.

Mixon is a pass catching RB.

I could see the Jags taking him with their second rounder if they miss out on Fournette.

Some draft boards have us going after Mixon. And the first thing a lot of them talk about is how the Chiefs took a "chance" on Tyreek Hill and Marcus Peters.

Fair enough....but I do not want the Chiefs to be THE franchise that everyone associates with troubled players who have talent. That is primarily why Mixon is being mentioned with the Chiefs. It's more about that then just ability...even though he has that.

Also...if you continue to take risks on players with questionable character...sooner or later one is going to come back and bite you in the ass.

Finally, there is already a team whose history is well documented as taking troubled athletes and rejects because they love emanating a thug persona. They are called the Oakland Raiders.

Interestingly enough, the Raiders are pretty free of trouble makers. The only team in the NFL to have no players arrested in the last 3 years.

But... the most penalized team in 2016 with 147 penalties for 1,251 yards.

I wouldn't put it past the Raiders drafting Mixon.

Yep. I remember a lot of folks griped about Marcus Peters being picked by the Chiefs.

So far I've seen the following players listed on multiple draft sites as going to the Chiefs:

DeShaun Watson

Patrick Mahomes

Dalvin Cook

Zach Cunningham

Jarrad Davis

Corey Davis

Have I missed anyone you are seeing multiple times being associated with the Chiefs?

The Star's final mock had us taking Adoree Jackson. No way we go corer in first. Either QB or front 7.

I think most here were pretty optimistic about that pick as long as his issues were checked out thoroughly.

The biggest issue was tyreek.

True, but folks care a lot more about the first round choice than the fifth.
