DHS Secretary Tells Congress to Either Change the Law or 'Shut Up'

Homeland Security Secretary Gen. Jack Kelly says the public and politicians too often believe the worst about "the men and women on the front lines." (Screen grab from C-SPAN)

Speaking about employee morale at the Department of Homeland Security, Gen. Jack Kelly described the men and women who work at his agency as “political pawns” who are sometimes treated unfairly by elected officials and the public they serve.

“If lawmakers do not like the laws that we enforce, that we are charged to enforce, that we are sworn to enforce, then they should have the courage and the skill to change those laws,” Kelly told a gathering at George Washington University on Tuesday.

“Otherwise, they should shut up and support the men and women on the front lines.”

Bullshit. It's not the lawmakers who have the problem with it.

Really?

Maxine Waters is fine with our Border Laws?  Our Citizenship requirements?  How about Chuckie Schumer?

The "lawmakers" pass whichever laws will get them votes.

What got Trump votes was campaigning to enforce border laws and build a fence to be even more restrictive to illegals.  That's how the system is supposed to work.  If the liberals want no enforcement of certain laws, then they have to get enough voters to agree so they'll have the votes in congress to change the laws.  Selective enforcement of laws one likes and ignoring those one doesn't isn't going to work and the left is asking us to accept just that.
