I've said it before and I'll say it again... I don't care for the man, his tactics, or his personality. I don't care for a lot of his ideas, and I don't care for some of his cabinet choices, like sessions.

that said, I have nothing but contempt for socialist progressives and their willing allies in the press. when I see what they are doing to trump every minute of every day... it makes me want to support him

A year ago, I got sick thinking Trump could face Hillary.  He was the only one Hillary would beat.  I was wrong.  Couldn't stand the guy and still can't.  Still can't see how he became the nominee.  That being said, the economy is looking pretty good compared to the past eight years.  Fewer people on unemployment, housing booming, the stock market setting new highs, and people just seem more optimistic.  But the constant barrage from the MSM hating on Trump and the fact that he keeps shooting himself in the foot makes it all seem like a bad dream.  All we hear about is Comey being fired and how this is Watergate II.  No mention of economic data.  Nothing about the new trade deal with China.   No headlines about illegal crossings down 70%.  Most people know they can no longer trust the media, but enough don't care or don't inform themselves that it's very possible that the Trump years could be very good ones for the country and no one will know it.  The focus is all on the crazy man.

Against my better judgement, watching the press attack constantly makes me want to like him just to be contrarian.

Then I puke, come to my senses and go have a beer.

Yes because learning what they're really doing that actually affects us is hard. And boring.

Who wants that? If it's not on Instagram, facedbook or 140 characters or less, nobody gives a shit.

Much better, easier and more fun to join a social media mob and be faux outraged at the fake scandal of the day.

russia - very legit reason to bitch

tax returns- very legit reason to bitch

vacations- unprecedented wasteful spending.  legit reason to bitch

comey- possibly trying to obstruct an fbi investigation.  legit reason to bitch.

but you are also right.  there are plenty of other reasons to bitch about the disaster that is the trump presidency

Russia-no evidence

Taxes returns-not required and none of your business.  Just something for the press to get their hands on and tear apart.

Vacations-plenty of precedent including luxury vacations for friends to Spain, dual Air Force One flights to Hawaii, golfing during crisis.....

Comey-Dems couldn't wait to get rid of him until Trump did it and now it's a scandal.  Make up your mind.

Four months in and the country is more optimistic and better off than at any time in the past seven years.

russia - we don't know the evidence.

tax returns - it is everyones business.  we have the right to ensure he doesn't have conflicts of interests.  which we all know he does.

vacations - no.  no president has ever spent the amount of money on vacations like trump.  and i know you bitched about obama doing it.  consistency please

comey - i am not a dem.  and i did think comey needed to go.  i just don't think firing the guy investigating you should be allowed.

four months in and this country is a fucking embarrassment.

none of those four issues are as bitch worthy as Fast and Furious or Benghazi. They're not even in the same league.

Yet, for some reason, the press ignored the both of those scandals... with plenty of evidence staring them in the face.

Is there any evidence trump colluded with russia? Or has evil doings buried in his tax returns?

Nope. Do we continue to hear the press drone on about them every hour of every day? Yep.

things in the past are not part of the discussion. Benghazi has nothing to do with trump.

I cant understand why it has to be brought up.

consistency endures time, it thrives in the past and present

it wouldn't have to be brought up if the press, or you, were equally concerned about each

but you weren't concerned about F&F or Benghazi.

no outrage... no calls for investigations

seems kind of hypocritical to me

curious... why is the past not important? why have you called trump a facist... as if that's bad

how do you know facists are bad? I mean... it's in the past right? Shouldn't be part of the discussion

... i am not a dem. ...

No, you just play one on the internet.

You can say it all you want, and you may not even be registered as a dem... But you have that "progressive" mindset and seem to be in lockstep with the dumbocrat agenda.

If it looks like a duck....

This is like Ncarls saying he's not a puke. Doesn't matter what you call yourself if you're that ideologically similar.

And yes I know that you realize that many of the dem politicians are just shills. That's not the problem. All non-local politicians are shills for special interests. ALL. That's what got them where they are.

The problem is the progressive agenda and the mindset.

The mindset is the victim mentality, the intolerance, and a belief that everyone should be forced to think like them.

The agenda is the use of government control to enforce the mindset.

PC culture is just one horrible consequence of this mindset and it would have been codified into law by now if the constitution didn't forbid it. There are many other symptoms, that's just the low hanging fruit.

It is the flipside of social conservatism, both sides of the same coin, and both would be horrible for the country if not kept in check by the constitution and the moderates and libertarians of this country.

Your liberal mindset shows itself in your posts about hating someone because they're fat. It shows in most of your posts in your failure to reason out your arguments.

I think you're probably too smart to be falling into this trap of 2 party groupthink. Yet here we are.

TL;DR = take the red pill already.

russia - very legit reason to bitch ZERO EVIDENCE OF ANYTHING WRONG AFTER MONTHS OF INVESTIGATING

tax returns- very legit reason to bitch THE IRS APPROVED HIS TAX RETURNS - SO WTF IS YOUR COMPLAINT EXACTLY?

vacations- unprecedented wasteful spending.  legit reason to bitch THE US HAD A FEDERAL SURPLUS OF $182 BILLION IN APRIL

comey- possibly trying to obstruct an fbi investigation.  legit reason to bitch. COMEY WAS CORRUPT TO THE CORE AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED BY OBAMA, WERE OBAMA NOT CORRUPT TO THE CORE

but you are also right.  there are plenty of other reasons to bitch about the disaster that is the trump presidency

i don't recall ever calling trump a fascist.

The past is fine to talk about if you can have a conversation about now. But to just constantly point the finger at something 5 years ago is irrelevant to the conversation about trump.

But your can't excuse every bad thing that happens by saying but a democrat did this or that. Who cares because Hillary did this or that.
