Arguably the greatest rock vocalist of my generation.

I play guitar, and for the most part could give two shits about vocals.  But he was something special.

I'll just leave this here:

Yeah, man. I actually listened to that a couple of hours ago.

He could sing anything. Dolly Parton songs. Bee Gees. Once in a generation voice. Infinitely better than that vomit Eddie Vedder spews.

Seattle bands seem to be full of tragedy. Hendrix, Weiland, Staley, Cobain, and now Cornell.

RIP

STP was a California band. But yeah.

Looks like Cornell hung himself.

I always hoped Eddie Vedder would be next.

Pearl Jam had one good album. They are not in the same class as some of the great bands that came out of seattle.

Yep. He went all "activist" over the years. I watched the Rock 'N Roll HOF induction a few weeks back. Pearl Jam was being inducted and the band was on stage individually thanking those who had helped them along the way. Up comes Eddie's turn and the first thing out of his mouth was, "climate change is real." I turned the channel.

This explains a lot. You have no taste. I get it now.

That may be the dumbest thing you've ever said on this board, and there's a LOT of competition.
